Lesson for life
So today I got a post on my fb wall from a dear friend of mine on a short video with some of the swedish skateboarding history. It's only about five minutes short, and those minutes got me thinking.
Remember when you started skateboarding? Remember how it used to be? Can you see what it has become today?
Everybody will have different opinions when it comes to the question, what has skateboarding become today. Some think that it's mainstream, it's slowly but surely getting eaten by the materialistic society in which we live.
Others will say that skateboard is still a great sport and nothing has changed except the tricks and the level of the art. Yes, it is an art, that's how I see it.
But one thing all ex-skateboarders and current skateboarders will agree upon is the simple fact that when you stand on a skateboard, it takes you to another place
When you truly start to understand skateboard for what it is once you get a little bit of hang on it, every single one of those ex's and current's, will agree upon the fact that skateboard touches ones heart and soul. It opens up another part of the brain, it opens up a whole new dimension if you will. And what it teaches you is that, everything is up to you, you decide when you're to afraid and you decide when you want to change that fear into courage.
It's ALL up to you and for this lesson, I am and will always be forever grateful to skateboarding.
Skateboarding will never change only the persons perception and understanding.

Everybody is free
The first time I heard this it made my heart warm and my mind clearer.
I'm greatful to be alive, to have a family and dear friends.
I'm happy that I'm me and that the ones that I hold dearest love me for me.
I am blessed, not by a god or any kind of higher power, but by you. Every single one of you out there and for this I want to say thank you!
